Ankur - 2008

Ankur is a Sanskrit word which means a bud. Like buds blossoming into beautiful and fragrant flowers over a period, the new entrants into the INC turn into wellqualified students at the end of their courses. Hence, the initiation program for the new entrants is christened Ankur. An annual feature, the event 'Ankur-2008' was held on July 2, 2008 at all the centers of INC.

Though basically an introductory session, it was rather an elaborate initiation ceremony for the newcomers. It was a day-long interactive session where the newcomers could share their thoughts with and clarifydoubts from VIPs from different fields, apart from the faculty members and second year students.

 

 

Several interesting contests for the newcomers were also held to bring out their talents and creativity. This proved quite inspirational for many of them.

The INC, which is committed to creating teams of bright young managers every year, believes that Ankur is the best way to welcome the newcomers. While giving them an idea of what lies in store for them, it is also an attempt to inculcate management thinking process in them straight away. As last year, this year too Ankur proved a great success.
